Meet the Instructors
Noel Harris
I’m Noel, founder of Safe Swim AZ. I’m a mom of a 4 month old and have been married 5 years! Many of my kiddos know me as Ms. Noel. I’ve been teaching swim lessons for 8+ years and have loved every second of it. I’ve had a passion for the water since I was a little girl and grew up doing swim team, which then led me to getting my first job a a corporate swim pool. There I was trained and learned the ins and outs of teaching swim safety, swim strokes and all the other fun stuff. I worked there for 2 years then started teaching from out of my parent’s pool. With this I was able to teach in a more personal setting where the kids could connect and develop my trust. I feel so honored to be able to do what I do!
Miaya Hixon
I'm Miaya. I am a mom of 2 kids and have been married for 4 years! I am fairly new to teaching swim but not new to teaching! During the school year, I am a lead instructor at a private elementary school here in Mesa. I have had some experience teaching water aerobics and swim lessons but this summer, I am diving deeper into teaching swim with Noel with Safe Swim AZ. I have a passion for teaching kids and feel it is so important kids learn how to swim as soon as possible here in AZ. I am so excited and look forward to working with you and your kiddos!
